Things People Do in the Snow

While reflecting on human behaviour during a snowy day in Victoria I was struck by a few Grace-filled moments, and somethings that left me scratching my head.

On the bus with my children I noticed how many people moved out of the way, or offered up their seat.
Walking down a slippery sidewalk one resident had sprinkled small restaurant packs of salt before their steps - points for trying and creativity.
Watched an elderly man come out of his house with shovel in hand to clear his sidewalk and driveway, and a city worker in a Bobcat drove down the road and cleared it all for him, waving as he drove off.
Watched a guy on a Vespa scooter drive through a slush filled Fort Street.  Yikes.

Someone once told me that snow is a lot like funerals; for some people in brings out the best, and in others it can bring out the worst.
